Indoor Season Done

Indoor Season Done

I have now finished my last indoor 400 m race for this season. I went up to Gothenburg and Junior Swedish Championship in last place if I look at personal bests but I didn’t finish in last place so that’s what I take with me. Eight place out of nine runners, around one second away from my personal best, I was really exhausted after the race. So what I take with me from this indoor season is that I have got a lot of experience running four 400 m races and I now have a a personal best that is

Stay Calm

Getting ready for the last training session before Saturday’s competition! I’m feeling confident coming to this competition and it’s so fun to do a preparation week to a championship again, it was 2 1/2 years since that last time. That last time was also the competition I got my javelin personal best but this time it’s my first championship not throwing anything! Began this week focusing a lot on the 400 m race. I practiced on my start with some starting blocks, first I only did some few starts and after that I run some starts out from the curve

Preparaciones Finales

Here I´m hanging and doing what I like. After being ill for some days last week I am back in training and doing the last preparations before the Swedish junior championship this weekend. I´m still cough a little but it´s nothing that will stop me from the training now. Ended last week after sitting in a car on our way home from Malmö for some hours with some running intervalls in  our indoor arena that went well. I did run two 300 m intervalls just to get some endurance for this weekend and it feels good today so now it´s

Attention

On our way to the top of this mountain my only goal was to reach the top obviously. What I mean with this´s that during my way to the top I never got any thoughts of turn and go down again. I reached my goal that day and felt so delight over what I did. To get out the best of your performance it´s important to concentrate on the situation that is relevant. If you have the ability of not being able to concentrate can get a lot of athletes to capitulate. I can take myself as an example, standing there

Perspectives

This guy up here is me, if you look at that face you see a guy that focus on what he´s doing. I don´t always have that focus that you see here, you don´t always need to have that focus in your training. The important thing is to use that focus when you need it. Today I´m gonna write the first things I have learned from my psychology book for athletes. I also know that every time I will write about this here or if I talk to people I will learn from that. I decided to open my book and

Fuerte

I´m looking at this picture and feeling strong, especially now when I´m sitting in the couch not feeling so good. Woke up yesterday with a cold and I was tired and my head felt so heavy, and in the evening I also had some fever. I feel a little better today but I coughs a lot and I will just sit down and rest the whole day! I really hope I will get healthy to the competition this weekend! I wasn´t on the training yesterday but the training on Friday went good. Did some starts in the starting blocks, I

Vadvarende

Yesterdays workout (not the picture) with some lovely 300 m intervals during season for the first time! I did 3 races with 6 minutes rest between. I did see some development since I did it in the end of the last year and I feel that my 400 races I have done has helped me a lot to develop my endurance especially. My times this 3 races in this order around 40,40,42 seconds and that’s better then my test results this fall! I’m happy to see that and I have felt so confident the whole week and to get these

Protector

I want that my closest people should be happy and I can make that happen if I’m! I wasn’t delight over the resultats I got this weekend because I couldn’t take it in! I told my friend yesterday that I was on a level where I wanted so much more. If I take my 400 m races this indoor season all three are better than my old personal best but my personal best is from my first race. After my race this weekend the only thing I thought about was what I did wrong spring the race, but now some

Race

My third race is now over and some new experience for me this week to. I´m not 100 % satisfied after this race even if it was the second best race I have done. This time I got the time 54.04 sec (0.51 second over my personal best). After 150 m I had the lead but I couldn´t hold it, when the second lap began I was in second place and wasn´t as tough as I was the previous competition. I was in fourth and last place when we got into the last 50 m but I kept fighting and took the

Smash

Now I am sitting in my hotel room and getting prepared for tomorrows 400 m race, 17:30 will the firsts 400 m race begin. It´s ten heats and I am probably in one of the last three. My goal is like I said before to try the same tactic but this time I will run the whole way over the finish line! Yesterday I had a really great javelin and running session (before our last javelin got split into two pieces). I felt that I could handle my throwing arm better than I had before and that´s something I practice a lot this winter. I could only

Fighting Spirit

Here you have me, i´m about to run my second 400 m race for the indoor season! One week earlier I beat my last personal best with over 2.5 second to 53.53 sec. When I stood here my goal was to run under 52.00 second but it was to hard this time. The first 200 m went well when I did run under 25 second for the second time in my life and the race went well to the last 100 m. My legs began to feel really tired and I were about to know how a real tough 400

Making Progress

When you can just keep going and going and everything feels so great. When you have your head and body with you when you do the things you love you can holding on forever. I have been able to do this for almost the whole fall training and I have developed so many things. Most of the things I have developed is because I have had my head with me, that past years I didn’t want to some exercises because I couldn’t understand why I should do it but now I want to do it. I have so much more

Last/First Competition

A few weeks in the 2016/17 season my association arranged a castorama competition (a competition that’s specially for us throwers when you’re doing all the throwing events)!  ..and I beat my personal best in castorama from around 2100 points to 2435 points so that was really good. I beat my personal best in all events except the javelin throw. You can see my result on the picture above 👊 2 cm longer in shot put! 30 cm longer in discus throw! 6 meter longer in hammer throw and a place in top 20 in the Swedish M22 age! I’m definitely

You Got To Try

Back in Sweden and to the people that mean the most to me. I have been home now for almost two weeks and I don’t regret my decision. I came home with the feeling that I can do whatever my mind tell me I can do and that took me to my first somersaults booth back and front and this is two things that I didn’t want to do for only one year ago and now I did them all by myself 👏  My motivation is one top and I really longing to the training every day to see what

Things Happen

Over one year ago I decided that I wanted to do my training and studies on college in america. Now I have been here for almost three weeks and I have this week decided that I will go home to Sweden again because at home is where I’m happy and are supposed to be right now to have the best opportunities to fulfill my dream to the Olympics.  I have learned so much during this journey and have got so much new experience and knowledge the last 12 1/2 months. My time here in america for the first time have
